The Scranton Times is looking for a building maintenance supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, manage and execute all required equipment preventative maintenance activities at multiple locations.
Trouble shoot HVAC systems including boilers, air handlers, condensers, chillers and Energy management systems.
Changing bulbs, ballasts, and replacement of complete fixtures.
Ability to run new electrical lines for lights and new equipment.
Maintain building backup generator and schedule load tests .
Trouble shoot and repair plumbing issues and schedule yearly backflow tests.
Ability to work flexible hours. In addition to regular schedule, this position will be on-call.
Schedule all repairs and evaluate all repair estimates.
Manage monthly bills.
Prepare regular reports on maintenance activities and budgets.
Maintain local, state, and federal inspection documents for equipment, pressure vessels, signage and building.
Organization of all OSHA certificates.
Organize lock out tag out boards and MSDA books at multiple locations.
Manage a crew of up to 4 employees and payroll.
Enforce safety standards and ensure all maintenance staff adhere to safety policies and procedures.
Manage shipping and receiving at our printing facility along with load and unload trucks with a forklift or pallet jack.
Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers.
Monitor supplies to ensure sufficient inventory.
Removal of snow and ice from the walks, entrances and parking lots.
Perform landscaping, weed removal and grass cutting at multiple locations.
Possess the skills and abilities to proactively manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
Experience with commercial fire alarm systems and signaling devices along with sprinkler and halon fire suppression systems, and fire extinguishers.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Be able to coordinate set up and tear down of large gatherings.

Knowledge of commercial or industrial buildings and utility systems.
Ability to perform strenuous labor for extended periods of time.
Ability to move heavy equipment and materials.
Ability to work in all types of weather condition.
Position is considered essential and may require working evening and/or weekend hours, when necessary.
Ability to diagnose problems, determine labor and materials needed and solve problems.
Basic knowledge of painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, snow plowing, cleaning, pneumatics, roofing, forklift, elevators.
Ability to communicate effectively and work harmoniously with others.
Able to take direction and educational input positively for immediate supervisors.
Ability to work independently.
